It’s here! Gulf British Academy’s new website and we really hope you will find it useful. During the early stages of its development we decided to approach the project in three phases. The first phase dealt with the core structure, functionality and design. The second focused on testing, optimising and ironing out the main bugs. And the third phase is an “organic” approach to content, launching with the core information and imagery in place first and then growing the site as needs dictate. So really it’s just the beginning…
Features of our new website
A responsive design
With the prevalence of mobile devices in Kuwait it was clear from the start that GBA’s website should be a responsive one. In other words, a website that dynamically adapts to the various screen sizes found on PCs, laptops, tablets and phones.
Simple website navigation
We want you to find the information you need without any problems. For PCs, laptops and some larger devices, there’s a simple navigation bar featuring a “sticky” menu that appears as you scroll (and echoes the core colours of our school building). For smaller devices, a simple dropdown menu will help you find what you need.
With big headline images and sometimes embedded galleries, our news channel will be updated with our key announcements. The latest three stories will also be visible on our homepage and an RSS feed is available.
Calendar and events
To keep you informed with upcoming events, our calendar can be viewed in month or list format, and entries can be exported to your mobile device’s calendar. The four most recent upcoming events are also listed on the homepage for your convenience. However, we do recommend checking the calendar regularly as events are added on an ongoing basis.
This is a brief summary, so do take the time to have a look around and spread the word using the social media links found at the bottom of most pages. Please feel free to contact us for any enquiries about our school and registering your child.
We look forward to hearing from you soon.
