We are delighted to announce we are now collecting plastic bottles at GBA and have a bin collection at the back of gate 5 for the first time in our school’s history. Please support GBA with our drive to recycle plastic bottles in Kuwait.
We at GBA believe we have a moral responsibility to help reduce our use of plastic which eventually goes to landfills or into the sea killing many innocent marine life. We have a strong pupil voice at GBA and our Environment Committee created a competition between the form groups to see who could collect the most plastic. Congratulations to Year 9.1 who collected over 400 bottles this term! I wonder who will collect the most next term? They will be treated to using the rewards room as a thank you for their hard work and commitment to helping the planet. I am confident this is an inflection point regarding recycling and environmental matters at GBA. We intend to lead the way in Kuwait!
